BIOTOUP（ビオトウプ）は、生きものが棲みつき、育っていけるように人の手で整えられた環境「ビオトープ」に由来します。

それぞれの営みが、それぞれのペースで続いていく。ときに交わり、ときに距離を保ちながら、同じ場所にあることで、互いに少しずつ影響し合う。

場所の在り方も、役割も、時とともに移り変わる。何かが生まれ、何かが去り、また別の何かが根づいていく。今ここにある姿も、生態系が織りなす、一瞬の風景です。

A place grows through the work of those who gather here.

BIOTOUP takes its name from “biotope” — an environment shaped by human hands where living things can settle and grow.

Each pursues their own work, at their own pace. Sometimes their paths cross; sometimes they keep their distance. Simply by sharing a place, they shape one another in small ways.

The nature of a place, and the roles it plays, shift over time. Something begins, something leaves, and something else takes root. What we see here now is one fleeting scene woven by this ecosystem.
